Tea Time at the Drake

I had the most magical evening last night as I spent it with my husbands side of the family at the Drake hotel in Chicago. It was an experience I think every girl shall experience at least once in their lifetime. Of course we went during the most festive, magical time of year, so the decorations were stunning, there were Christmas Carolers, & a lady who played Christmas songs off the harp. What a joyous time it was.

Coming from a girl who is “South Side Chicago” being very prim & proper, with a lot of class usually isn’t one of my strong suits. I’m a very laid back girl, goes with the flow, & most definitely is not one for proper etiquette. I mean….I just recently was in Church for my friends wedding and said “what the hell” to my friends and she’s like “Megan! We are in Church.” My response was “Jesus Christ you’re right!!” And then we laughed because now I’m saying his name in vein. Like… this is who you’re dealing with when it comes down to it. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ But it didn’t matter. Tea Time at The Drake was one for everyone. Even young little ladies!! You start with a tea. You are able to pick from a list. Tons of options. Then they bring out plates with small sandwiches, & little pastries. I ordered the Saint James. It was so perfect. & the pastries, so yummy! There were even sugar cubs to put in my tea. I was ecstatic 😍

So if you are looking for something festive to do during this Holiday season, most definitely make a trip to the Drake for Tea Time. You won’t regret it!!

Sincerely the girl who dropped her sugar cube 4 times before it landed in her tea cup.

Xo, Meg
